This week we celebrate our school administrators. We are grateful for all the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm our school administrators put into their schools every single day. They do so much to help our students succeed, and it doesn't go unnoticed! Show your appreciation in any way you can—a handwritten note, their favorite snack, even just a "thank you"—and let them know you recognize their effort!


Mark your calendars! On November 8th at 9:15AM, West Heritage Elementary will be holding a Veterans Day Assembly. On the day of the assembly, a brick wall will be displayed dedicated to those who have served. Students will be bring home instructions to complete the bricks next week. Bobbi Patterson, a success coach at West Heritage Elementary, is receiving a high five today. Bobbi has made over 300 book bags available to students to take home and read with their families. Students can swap out books all year and keep them as long as they want. Every day, she goes above and beyond for her students.

Join us for Star Wars Reads Day on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This fun filled day organized by the Etiwanda School District libraries will take place at the Barnes & Noble in Rancho Cucamonga. Activities are free and will include puzzles, crafts, story time, the Star Wars Amazing Race, a costume contest, a Lego building contest and more! The 501st will also be visiting participants during our event! We will have drawings for prizes. A portion of purchases made during this event benefit the school libraries in the Etiwanda School District. For more details visit the Events Area on the district website.

West Heritage students in grades K-5 can earn a nacho treat for passing 24 Math i-Ready lessons before October 27. Students who pass their lessons with a rate of 75% or higher will enjoy nachos with their peers on November 9. See the attached flyers for details on the prize and how to access i-Ready from home!
